Lindsey Zimmerman works for Brown Armstrong as a Certified Public Accountant. She has more than nine years of governmental auditing experience and 17 years of auditing experience. She joined the firm in August of 2012 after six years of working for KPMG Orange County. Before KPMG, Lindsey also had four years of accounting, tax, and auditing experience. Today, her specialties include counties, cities, special districts, retirement systems, non-profits, oil and gas, and for-profit organizations.
Lindsey earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Azusa Pacific University and her public accounting certification (CPA) from the California Board of Accountancy. She is actively involved in a number of professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Lindsey enjoys getting involved in the community through fundraisers and serving on boards. She contributes to the Wasco Community Scholarship Association and the Henry Miller Water District. Lindsey lives in Bakersfield, California, and when she is not working, she enjoys playing sports of all kinds, including golf, and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys attending and teaching classes for conferences such as the California State Association of County Auditors (Cal SACA) and the California Association of Public Retirement Systems (CALAPRS).
Lindsey uses a hands-on approach when performing services for her clients. She takes pride in being highly involved and communicating from the start of the services needed and throughout until she has met the deadline with no surprises. Her goal is to exceed client expectations in every interaction.
